MMC / SD Card Readers
Hiya,
Can anyone please tell me whether there is any difference between MMC and SD Memory Cards? Will an MMC card reader read SD cards? Thanks in advance. Simon |

SD is a newer, secure storage type. Its the same size and used the same way as a mmc. http://www.sandisk.com/consumer/sd_card.asp tells aboug sd cards, and there's a link on the right that explains MMC's. New card readers will read both MMC's and SD cards, and devices that accepd SD cards will also accept MMC's.

You can get generic card readers which will read a whole plethora of different cards, from SD, MMC, Flash, Sony etc etc
