monitor intermittantly losing imput and regaining it agen

Hi guys,

my monitor keeps loosing imput/gaining input/loosing it agen, iv tried it in 2 different pcs, it only seems to occur when the system boots up/shuts dwn and when the system is very busy, the monitor will go off and enter power saving mode and come back on agen with a scrambled picture then go back to normal after a while, iv checked the cable and its not intermittent, removing the connecter and replacing it brings the picture back for a while but then it goes agen?? it seems completly random.
thanks for your input
Paul

So you've tried different pc's and the problem followed, showing the monitor is the problem. What are the refresh rates of the pc's, and what can the monitory handle?
