Ok I've read countless things on the net about this issue and none of them really seem to address my exact problem so i'm going to try this out.
What is happening is when i turn my computer on the monitor doesn't come on. here is a little background info on whats happened. The monitor was working fine but when i moved locations of the computer i noticed an intermittent issue where the monitor wouldn't always come on at start up. After i finally got the monitor on i had to formatt my harddrive which i was trying to do from the start, half way through the install of windows my computer restarted and i haven't been able to get the monitor back on since. I've reseaeted the video card and have tested my monitor on other computers and other monitors on mine. I don't have windows fully installed as of yet becasue of the reset that occurred earlier. any ideas would be greatly appriciated as i am grasping at straws here and am willing to try anything at this moment |

You didn't say what the results were with different monitors, but I assume your monitor worked on other computers, and other monitors did not work on your computer? Try clearing the CMOS, in case something got messed up when the computer restarted. Be sure there are no bent pins on the monitor cable. Try another video card if you can.
