    Smile Moyherboard


    hai,i have AMD sepron processor L-E 1250,2.21Ghz with msi motherboard K9N6PGM2.now i am using WINDOWS XP servicepack2 on it.now i have a great problem when i pressing my dvd drive to open total system goes off.i checked the smps ok.dvd drive(IDE)also work well with other motherboards.pl inform me what may be the problem?

    Initially sounds like an issue with your motherboard. Do you have a non-IDE port that you can hook up a DVD drive to and test it?

    AdamPI, I did not even think of that, however when the OP makes the comment the DVD drive works on other motherboards, it makes me think that he is not getting the buttons confused.

    sir,i tested on non-IDE port that also giving same problem.

    Are there any other symptoms?

    Maybe there is something shorting out?

    Do you have the ability to swap out the PSU and/or motherboard? (Not really sure what to since your symptoms are so strange, it makes me question some of the things you have said).

    What happens if you pop the tray out using the manual release with a paperclip?
