My OS shuts down when I play online game
Hi People,
thanks for reading this post. I have a problem that I dont know the source. I am running windows xp pro, athlon xp 2400, 512MB ram, and plenty of space on harddrive. When i play this online game, (conqueronline.com.au), my comp always shuts down in the middle of the game. However, if i do normal surfing or play single-player game, watch movies, on my comp, it's fine. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I am suspecting that my motherboard could be the source of the problem, but not sure! Any help at all would be much appriciated. Regards, Geek ![]() |

(^^;?(Hmm, In the middle of..)
You have also a smart video card. Then, probably because of power supply. Reaching the most interesting part, a great stress occurs on PC. |

Well, it's not really a shut down! i meant to say "restart".
My comp will either hangs or restarts windows. Anyhow, my power supply is 230V. |

(^^;?(230v?)
That is 230 Watt, is that correct? Have you recycled old PC's power? This cannot afford to keep up with your PC spec.. I wonder that you could spin up all th devices. Generaly your machine has to take over rebooting from the start due to shortage of power. Perhaps your power is very excellent one for 230 W. You needs at least 350W, and had better have 400W or more. |
