Network Design Program
Hi,

Anyone know of a free (or free trial) program that lets you design pretty complicated network schematics.

Just needs little icons for a switch, node, workstation, printer, server, etc.

im doing a course which we used a program. I cant exactly remember the name of it it has Gold in it i remember that.

I think it was a trial program.

Dia is very useful for that kinda stuff.. in fact I'm such an expert, that I did an awfully good screenshot for you here It's open source.. in fact I think it even comes with an outofthebox redhat install.

is that what you mean?

bah! who needs designing tools!

I just went back to using MS Excel, clipart and autoshapes!

Attached is what I did... Kinda sorta looks a bit like our LAN layout

As you can tell, we have too many computers lol (even though most are mine )
