no cd-rom being read.
i hate abit motherboards right now. alright i've tried 2 cd-roms and a different cable. it's beign read in bios but that's it. so do you think it's the motherboard.this is the 2nd one in a row i've had problems with and i just wanted my damn computer up . (sorry for attitude) |

sorry about the attitude.alright.i am using an abit nf7-s2 motherboard.for some reason when i finally got windows to install it didn't "see" my cd-rom.if you went under my computer it only showed A: and c: drive.it works under dos though.i thought it might be my cable so i tried a different one.no luck.tried an older cd-rom...still no luck.so what do you think it could be?

When bios does not recognize it, the cable connection broken is thinkable. In this case, you have only attach it to Master HDD's slave. If it is recognized, the cable would be broken. If not, another matter considered. |
