No signal on Monitor

Hello,
When my computer boots up it says no signal on monitor. I tried changing the video card and the same thing happens. The monitor works on another computer, so I know it is not the monitor. The computer does not work with another monitor. No red lights in front of the computer. I changed the hard drive, the cd rom, just to test it and it is the same. I don't know what else to do. The memory works fine too. Can someone help. Just a suggestion, is it the power supply.
Thanks

When your computer "boots up". How far does it go? Does it give any beep codes, or does it seem to be working, only without the video? Did you build this computer? Has it worked in the past? If so, what changed? Can you check with another mobo?

i am having the same problem.

i i get no beeps but the entire system minus the monitor starts up.

i replaced the memory, motherboard, cpu, and graphics card to no avail. the same problem still happens. i have also tried a different psu.

the only thing i have no replaced or switched with another one is the hdd but misdirector did do that to no avail.

i know the montior works becuase i had it hooked up to a laptop a couple hours ago.

Smile No signal on Monitor --- fixed

I'm running windows 98Se in a 133 mhz PC with 96 mb of ram.

I lost my sound card driver and had to pull the sound card to read the type and model number info to download another driver.

After connecting all the cables I got "Attention - No signal ,
H>Off V>Off , Please check input signal or connection"

I checked for the usual, lose cable, pin bent over, card not seated fully, etc. Nothing worked until I did something I have not done in 7 years. I turned the computer off and on by the computer casing on/off button -- not the central switch I normally turn everything off. The computer booted up as usual and the monitor came on.
I hope this helps

I had the same problem with 2 AGP video cards. When I tried a PCI video card it worked fine.
