PC won't boot/power-up
I built this PC about 2 yrs ago w/ a Gigabit mobo & AMD processor. Last week W2K would boot to user signon but couldn't launch apps. Linux would boot and get a bus error when launching apps. Then it quit booting, no fans, nothing.
I replaced the power supply and mobo - same processor, memory, etc. Same behavior but the power light on mobo was on. I disconnected all drives and removed all boards. The fans would come on for about a second and then stop. When hitting the PS switch again, no fans - had to unplug for a while before I could get the fans back on for the 1 second. I don't want to invest in memory/CPU unless that is a probable culpret - any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

(^~;?(Probably, they are probable culprit.)
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;EN-US;329284 Check CPU and memory first. |
