Plugger hard disk for parallel port doesn't work

Hello,

I get from someone a hard disk for on the parallel port. It is a Plugger 340.
I tried to connect it to my pc's, one with w2k and one with win98, but they don't see him or detect him.

Is there anybody who can help me or give me some tips?? Hope the problem is clear to you.

Thanks!!

Greetz,
Johan

The plugger 340 (i think that is the product name) is a hard disk which you can connect to the parallel port.
I have already search the internet of course, but don't saw any products, website or drivers. That is why I try it at this forum.

A friend of my say that I have to install new aspi drivers or something like that...I did that to but won't make any difference.

I am from the Netherlands .

Greetings,
Johie

(^^;(If it does exist, I'm badly for it. Made in Netherland?)

If it is truly parallel type as parallel zip, can you read in Dos?

Some SCSI cable has 25pin - 50pin type, in any ways. It must be connected to Lpt1 now.

Use the Device manager - Printer Port - Property - Port Setting

Check Use any interrupt assigned or Try not to use

Check Enable Legacy PnP

Also, check the bios setting and how it is recognized or configured, it must be bi-directional at least.,perhaps.

(^^;?(By the by, Netherlands isn't Holland?)
