Angry processor not showing right ghz

so ive bought a new processor amd athlon 2.5 ghz processor but on the system info it shows as a 1.09 ghz my sys is a

120gb hd
msi motherboard
msi rx-5700 graphics
768 of ddr ram

please help

are you sure that it was a 2.5Ghz processor? because i dont think AMD do a processor that clocks at more than 2.2Ghz. I expect that you have gotten mixed up with amd's ratings, an athlon xp 2500+ clocks at 1833Mhz (1.8Ghz) and not 2.5Ghz as is suggested in the name.

fully understand now just being daft what would best overclocking settings anyone i know its a big question but can anyone help
