Reselling Hardware

I'm intereseted in setting up a IT Support business in the UK. I have planned almost everything and now I need to source hardware and software to provide to my eventual clients.

I have little knowledge of how big suppliers (e.g. Dell) operate their reseller schemes. I do know that some require a reseller (or VAR) to pass certain accreditiation qualifications - that should be no problem.

I'd really apprecaite some guidance on this please so if you have any advice please post it here....

companies like Intel and AMD, and teh test of the massive companies, require you buy items in bulk, like 1,000 at a time if not more.

Here's a good way to start. Make a little "computer dump" where you have people drop off their junked computers and you take it "off their hands" for $10. Then just take the good parts and re-sell them. Win-win both ways .
