rolling pwr then nothing
I am fixing up a PII MMx (350mhz) and all was fine until I powerd on (after many successful tries) and I got this "slight moan of pwer that went dead (did this twice) and now no power at all. I just replaced the psu and it still doesn't work. Is it possible that I fried my mb by any chance?
thanks, celeste ![]() |

When you power on, do you get a beep from your mb? If not then it's probably fried (or not plugged in properly).

Nope, no beeps at all; nothing. I know there are ways to test the mb, but I'm not comfortable with sticking a screw driver and shocking myself. should Ijust bring it in to a comp fix up place?

Is anything plugged in to your m/b? Faulty hard disks etc can stop th m/b from booting, but if you have no lights or beep on your m/b and you're sure the psu is fine and plugged in correctly then i guess it's fried.
