Sata hard drive problem

I had winxp pro installed on IDE HD, i bought a bigger SATA seagate hard drive, because i need some data from my old one i just disconnect this one and i install OS on SATA hd, later i connect my old one to the computer and everytime when i try to start the computer i get boot disk failure error and i tried to connect IDE which is empty and i keep getting the same message. What can i do to solve this problem?

My motherboard is ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
Processor: 2000+ XP AMD

Try looking in your bios to make sure the SATA is in the boot sequence?

i have asus bios 3.41.03.

There is a boot sequence in bios with choices like :

Floppy
HD 0
HD 1
HD 2
HD 3
CD
LAN
Disable

but when i look in bios the sata isnt recognized at all. But it just shows the IDE hard drives with the numbers beside it. But later the SATARAID comes up where it shows the sata hard drive. But it always tries starting from the IDE hard drives.

Is that the latest bios? If not, flash to the latest bios release, that might help. Also, are you overclocking?
