Then i measure voltage at HD connector 5 v. and 12 v. is ok, but at disk moter[?] connector side voltage is + 7 v. and IC [ Servo? ] near contact is geting to much hote. my friend have Seagate ST340823A HD and he say you try to change my control board with your HD and backup your data. but you have to return my HD ok. can i replesh control board with this different No. ? after this all i go to Seagate warranty side and se that there are this HD is " In Warranty" "Expiration 22-APR-2005 " any help wellcome. waiting for quick reply. sorry for my bad english. thanks in advance.
