Setting up sata hdd
hey guys. im new to the world of sata hdd's but i finally got off my but and got me a 160gb Seagate sata hdd. the prob is ive got no idea what the hell to do with it. The drive is plugged in and has power etc etc...so what now??

Pretty much the same as any other hdd...
You've installed it, your computer should detect it in bios now. Then fdisk it, format, and you're set. http://www.techtv.com/callforhelp/h...3322450,00.html explains. fdisk is saying its only 20gig (instead of 160).....and fdisk also reckons my 80gig seagate ide is only 10 gig....what the?...the 20gig quantum and 8gig quantum are both fine tho...
