StarCom Serial PCI express device problems

Hi all,

Just wondered if someone has an idea for this little problem.

I have a starcom duel serial PCI express card in a PC which was installed a few weeks ago with what I believe was an I correct driver.

Fast forward to today, the device is not showing in the hardware manager, under the COM & LPT ports section, which is. It there at all.
There is no mention of StarCom anywhere. (The driver installed might not have been a starcom one).

So I removed the card, rebooted, nothing seemed to change. Put it back in and also tried it in a different slot, but the PC didn't find any. Ew hardware either time.

So any suggestions?
My ideas were:
1) is there anyway to match the devices in the hardware manager list with physical devices? I it's there I can delete it and start again.
2) is there a way to match a driver to the device if the wrong one was installed so I can remo e it?

All suggestions welcome. Also no program seems to be installed for it.

OS is Windows 7 32-bit pro.

Regards

Charlie

Hi all,

I am putting it down to the fact I think the card has actually failed!

I will return it for an exchange and I am sure everything will work OK.
