HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

(0o;?(Whereabouts?)

Run "msconfig" also. Use registry cleaner kinds.

Why do you want to stop norton antivirus? I can understand the rest, they just take cpu time and ram. msconfig is good, you can get software such as iolo system mechanic (www.iolo.com) , you get lots of tools - reg cleaners etc...

One suggestion: don't try to keep Norton from turning on. *BAD IDEA*.

Megumi was right, but I'll make it a little bit easier to understand.

Go to Run, type in regedit. Your Registry Editor (hence the name) should pop up. Look on it until you see HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, which is the registry for your entire hard drive. Expand that. Next, expand SOFTWARE, and then expand Microsoft. Next, scroll down until you see Windows (NOT WINNT), and then expand CurrentVersion. You will then see Run (NOT RUNONCE), and click on the word Run. You should see some values for some programs in there. If you see your program in there (AND ONLY IF YOU SEE THE PROGRAM), you can feel free to delete it. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU ONLY DO THIS IF YOU'RE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Erasing some registries will result in Windows not starting correctly...

Good luck!
