    Question System Upgrading: Which parts?

    Hi everyone

Looking to upgrade my gaming rig quite a bit. I would love some advice please on what would be the parts bottle-necking my system or just what would be the best overall performance increase.

I have about $800 to blow on upgrades.

    Current Rig:
Full Tower Case by ULTRA forgot model..
    XFX Nforce 680i LT Mobo
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
    6GB OCZ DDR2 800mhz Memory
Western Digital WDC 500gb HD (data/games/etc.)
    OCZ Vert 64gb SSD HD
    NVVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 1gb
750w power supply (just bought it, don't want to replace it. was suggested from some users who helped me out from here )

    Any suggestions?

P.S. If you have a suggestion of what part to upgrade, could you suggest what to upgrade it to? So I don't get compatability issues or anything like that >_< Thanks!

I was being sarcastic as I really didn't think the system needed upgrading...

what is your monitor like...is it 1080 (HD) capable?

it just seems sometimes i feel slow in load times of games and such, wanted to overclock but i cant do a stable overclock that keeps it from freezing sometimes :/

What you might want to do is tweak the O/S...stop all the services that you don't need...You must be running Vista or Win 7 as anything below those two can only utilize a max of 4 gigs of extended memory as far as I know...

ya I'm running Windows Vista 64 bit.

I want to play Aion and in the 500v500 people fights I don't want to lag and I have some money I can put into upgrading my machine and wanted to see if there would be any beneficial upgrades that would yield substantial performance increases

I believe that my processor running @ 2.4ghz stock is bottle-necking my system from what I have read.

Would upgrading my processor to http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4089666&CatId=2760 see a huge performance increase?

what about upgrading to these parts?

Also would my hard drives speed being slow have any outcome with gaming?

With that system and your desire not to lag you might want to consider putting that money into upgrading your Internet connection instead of the PC.
