Hey I'm currently seeking for a external hard drive:
GB Range: 160 GB - 200 GB Price Range: $230 0r less Seeking: Avice from expert users connections: USB 2.0 & Firewire Note: Also I have a concern about the hard drive going out. I heard some are cheaper in price but what they don't tell you is that they are cheaper models also. In which, they overheat or go dead and malfunction when the reader heads scratch the disk. If there's anyt other mysterious thing(s) about hard drives going crazy, please let know man... |

I have an external maxtor 250Gb drive, its been pretty good so far for the last 2 months or so (got it at christmas). It has firewire and usb 2.0 and an internal fan to help cooling with an external power supply.
I got it here: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...oduct_uid=51923 and it was just over £200 including VAT at the time. after a quick search at newegg.com for you, I have turned up with this result: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProdu...-144-326&depa=0 its at the top end of your price range and only 160Gb, but its a good deal, but I think its the older model though. HTH, computer |
