turn on light via text message
Hi,
I've heard about people turning on their lamp by sending a text message to a certain device. This device reads the txt msg and then performs an action based on the code that was uploaded to this device. Does anyone know what types of these devices are available, and were they may be purchased? Thank you, 2milk1Sugar

(^^;?(I don't have heard about such a thing.)
But it should be network printer server or the like. It has simple rom and cpu, then it can accept any txt message and would be able to turn the lamp on. Recently I met with the question probably which is infected by worms that make use of such printer server weak ponit.
