Turning off the sound on an Asrock Motherboard
Can anyone tell me how to turn the sound card portion of our Asrock motherboard off? It is apparently necessary to do this to install our new 7.1 soundcard.

On-board sound options are usually set in the BIOS, also called set-up, press delete or F2 as appropriate for your system after turning on your PC, look though the settings for the soundcard options and disable it, it may not apear obviously labelled as sound card, may be listed as AC'97 instead.

Tried BIOS
BIOS is completely shut off as far as sound.
I suspect that it's now down to a jumper on the motherboard, but since they aren't really identified in the manual, we're afraid to mess around with it. Does anyone from ASRock actually come in here? |
