video card drivers
i recently built a computer, and hooked up everything and it all works fine.... but i have my doubts about my video card... i installed the drivers/ stuff on the cd that came with the card, but i still seem to have glitches in games that i play... i was just wondering if i needed to install any other drivers, or if what was on the installation cd is all i need

my system is as follows:

amd athlon xp 3200+ CPU
Asus A7n8x-e deluxe MB
1 gig ddr memory
radeon 9600xt 256ddr, 256 bit video card

You'll want the newest version of the drivers, which may be newer than the ones that came on the cd. Otherwise, as megumi said: what do you mean by "glitches"?

during parts of the game.. it will pause... for a few seconds, then continue, and i just didn't think that was normal.....

Does it seem to pause when there is a lot of action on the screen? What game?
Try turning down the detail settings.

ummm i'm not for sure about when it pauses.. i think it's just random..... the game is command and conquer Yuri's Revenge
