weird refresh rate sony

just got a new monitor in at work, a sony SDM-X72. nice looking monitor, the only thing is i can't get the refresh rate over 60hz no matter what setting i have it at. i've installed the drivers, installed updated drivers and still can't get it to go over 60hz. couldn't find anything on sony's site (websites are starting to resemble the automated phone systems where you can't get anywhere) just wondering if anyone has this monitor or any suggestions on what i can do. the video card can support at least 75hz at 1024x768 and it won't show up. the two OS's i've tried are xp and 2k.
