Which computer should I choose?
I have a choice between the two:

x86 family 6 model 8 stepping 10 with 522 mb ram

OR

P4 1.5 ghz 261 mb ram

consider all other features equal.

Problem is I have no idea what the first processor is?

a quick google search yields the following information:

a "x86 family 6 model 8 stepping 10" processor is ~933MHz.

My recommendation: go for the P4 1.5.

You can always add RAM.
