Hey, im buying a computer. I need to see which CPU and mobo would u guyz choose.

I can get a P4 2.8 ghz 1mb cache prescot and ASUS P4P800-E DELUXE for $329 *NEW*

or a Intel P4 3.0E 800Mhz 1MB Cache HyperThreadin Motherboard ABIT VT7 P4 PT880 for $347 *NEW*

Well, your cache is the same, but your clock speeds are very different. The price difference is small, so I'd go with the higher clock speed.

I would get a p4c, the Prescott isn't really any faster (sometimes slower) and costs more.
Of those though, I'd get the faster one w/ HT.

Get a Northwood based P4 since you are less likely to burn a hole in your mobo.
