Why my PC does not turn on??? Help me out

To anyone that could give me an idea. I am learning how to fix computer, but unfurtunately I dont hava any idea of what can be wrong with my pc. This is what happened. I usually leave the computer on 24 7 and when I woke up one morning to use the computer, the pc was off. The night before it was raining hard, perhaps thundering messed it up, so i think something might have blown. When I opened the case, I noticed that when I hit the on button, the fan for the cpu and power supply spins for a second or two and then stops. Then a few seconds later I hear a tiny sound like if something recharged and when I press the on button the samething happens.

Please anyone give an idea. thks...

I'm not really the smart or the type to be giving advice, but it sounds like a Power Supply issue. The storm/rain must have caused it to blow and the reason it gives a lil spark is because it's still linked to yer fan and crap as well as the wall but it can't take as much power needed to keep your computer running...

Just a reply/guess (I am not really sure at all) since noone else said anything and who knows, I could be right (That would be scary) but good luck and hopefully someone with more experiance / know-how can reply before you try purchasing a new power supply or somthing.... Hope you can figure it out

Have you tried unplugging it for a while? Sometimes when a PC takes a power hit, it resets what's called the "Power Good" signal. Generally, unplugging the PC for a few minutes then plugging it back in will fix that.
