Have you only changed your motherboard or have you changed others. Also are you able to boot into safe mode? (tap F8 repeatdly on boot)

Are all your components especially networking devices installed (physically) correctly. Do you have the most recent bios, and has your computer detected your processer correctly within the bios/cmos setup. eg correct fsp etc. When you boot into safe mode and go to device manager (ctrl panel, system, hardware tab, device manager) are there any yellow question marks. This would suggest a driver/hardware problem. Try the above and failing that give me your full computer spec. Good Luck

You only have 192mb of ram? Windows XP really needs 256 mb of ram to run properly but will run on 192mb. But your motherboard has the radeon 9200 graphics engine that can use up to 128mb of your ram. (On board ram chips use system ram!) This wouldn't leave enough for windows to fart loudly let alone boot!
I'm not sure about your exact mb as i've never used one but if you hit del on boot, and enter the setup util, somewhere you should be able to change how much ram your onboard vga/video etc uses. It should be in your manual supplied with the mb. Set that to the min and try again. Failing that stick a new/old graphics card in your agp slot and try. Or add more ram. Be carefull though, you must have a 128mb and a 64mb sticks of ram installed, adding many different sticks of ram, (sometimes only 2 different) will stop the computer from booting. You'll see when it clocks your ram at the beginning. I found this that might be of some use: http://www.techsupportforum.com/com...forum/87-2.html |

Hang on a sec. 192mb of ddr ram? I don't think they make 64mb sticks of ddr? I might be wrong. Check your ram and come back to me

the ram stick says "256ddr" on itself... but when i hit "del" on boot it only said 192...

Then your onboard graphics is using the other 64

Na your on board graphics will happily run with 64/32 or possible 16mb of ram but it's the lack of ram to xp i was worried about, but 192 will be ample to boot. Power supply could be a prob but as it worked with the new mb then it should work with this one. Whilst trying to work out what was wrong i found this:
http://forums.devshed.com/t85585/s....lling+safe+mode take a look. This could be the problem, but as your comp doesn't re-boot i'm not so sure. Can you lay your hands on a bigger power supply? |

Boot your computer and hit delete to enter setup. Somewhere you should have several voltage readings: 12v, 5v, and 3.3v. Check that the actual reading for these are correct. They should be within 10%. If not you have a power problem
