Yellow tinge to monitor

Suddenly, while using my computer this evening, my monitor suddenly turned a very strange yellow colour. Everything is still visible, but it is like a yellow viel has been pulled over it.

I have tried unplugging it, fiddling with the settings but with no luck.

Is this the sign when monitors are getting too old and being to stop working - does it happen a lot when monitors are about to pack in?

It's quite an old monitor which I picked up from a second hand shop, so it could just be age, but I hope not

Could it be anything to do with connections or another simple problem or is this the time I go out a buy a new one?

I'd bank that. Your monitor has seen better days. Thats a sign it is going, though almost all of them i had have turned red or blue, never yellow. I do have some good news.

You can get a pair of THESE and everyone will envy you.

I've gone into Photoshop and I a look at the palette and it can't seem to display blue. I think that's what has gone It can show green and red, but no blue.

(RGB have its own lines and circuits. It should be Blue.)

It may be caused by broken lines, but if circuits are broken, you'd better buy a new one.
