LCD with gloss - recommended model

    Hi guys,

The laptop that I use has a really nice gloss/reflective/mirror finish which I actually have come to really like.

My 22" monitor seems too bright or unnatural, even with the brightness turned all the way down.

Have you got any recommendations of standalone LCD monitors that have the same WXGA or whatever? that some laptops have??

    Cheers,

    Nathan

The majority of TFT monitors are cleaner than crisper than a CRT. Don't think you would find a major difference unless you started spending a lot of money.

The 22" Acer LCD widescreen I just bought has a really nasty quality to it. It was cheaper, but still - I was hoping for something similar to my laptop WXGA screen. I guess I'll get used to it.... even though the Acer is sharp when running native - it has a cheap, bright quality to it...

It's kind of hard to explain... I love my laptop screen - with that kind of gloss/reflective effect. It deepens the colors and stops people from certain angles - seeing your screen.

Are there any LCD monitors out there that are similar?

    Cheers!

I guess I'm going to stick with my laptop screen for now... although I'm starting to see some nicer WXGA LCD monitors come out on the market now, that are similar.

    Cheers!
