Sound card on a Pentium 4 PC not compatible with Win7

I have an old PC which is Pentium 4 and has 1gb of RAM and 256mb of vcard. I think my system meets the minimum requirements of Windows 7. When I tried to install it, everything turns smoothly except that it can't find any driver for my sound card. I tried to install the driver from my mobo cd but it still doesn't work.

What can you recommend me to do so that I can put win7 in my system?

You don't have a problem with a pentium 4, but you have a problem with your sound card or sound chipset driver. Try the websites for your mainboard and/or soundchip vendor , maybe there's a newer driver available.

Honestly you're pretty lucky it's working all except for the sound. Maybe just spend $30 on a cheap sound card that matches drivers?

[Mod]I also changed the title of your thread to more accurately describe the topic.[/Mod]
