I've played the doom 3 demo (after a bit of computer part swapping to make a system that would play it at more than 4 fps). And it is pretty damn sweet. Very dark and scary, amazing graphics. Can't wait to see the full version (so you can use a menu for you selections, and don't have a million artifacts and errors, lol )

Anyway, I have 1.2Ghz Althon that's had cooling issues from day one. I thought it was bad ram at first, then windows 98SE, but even after upgrading to Crucial Ram and Win 2k pro it still crashed.

So I noticed the heat was getting up there so I slipped the side off of the thing and it didn't crash as much. Finally ended up getting a better CPU fan and wasting a PCI slot on another fan to keep the thing cool with its side on.

I used to be a huge fan(no pun) of AMD, but Intel has gotten a lot more price competitive, especially when considering that its cheaper for me to go out and buy a new $700 Dell and get all the power I really need.

I mean the games I still play are: Xwing Vs. Tie Fighter, Xwing Alliance, Star Fleet Command I, and RS/Black Thorn.

that not that hot i blew half my motherboard and it blew the motherboard power slots 4 my fans and i cnt run a fan in side so my cpu running at 98/208 getting hot and im getting new motherboard soon but any ideas on cooling down please email me on URL
