i jus got the 2500 amd cpu last week and i would like to overclock it to 3200.. but the fan that they gave me isnt cooling it fast enough and im only able to overclock it to 2800...
i need a suggestion for a cpu fan thats -
- not too noisy (my computers next to my bed)
- good enough for future plans
- not too expensive (no higher then 50$?)

if you are to spend a little more on a larger heatsink then you can use an 80mm fan (typical case fan). When you use a bigger fan RPM's can stay down yet the CFM stays up. The lower the RPM's the quieter it is. It's a good idea to spend a little more on a good heatsink if your doing overclocking. Thermalright SLK-800 is what I'm using and I love it. If you read a lot of the overclocking forums you'll find that it comes fairly highly recommended. Happy O/Cing

I have a Volcano 11+ using the sensor option. I like it. The fan runs slow when it's idle and runs fast when you're using it. Unless you're crunching data while you sleep, you should be alright. But remeber that the heat needs to get out of the case, if the fan doesn't have any place to blow the hot air, it's not going to do you much good.
