Laptop system fan
I have an old ProStar 2893 laptop. The system cooling fan does not spin up. I let it go up to about 55º c and checked the voltage to the fan, nothing.

The inherent problems with laptops is servicing them! Like my thinkpad which will cost more to fix* than it is worth ...
