MB Chipset cooling
Alright, after finally cooling my cpu down with a thermaltake, i'm still a little worried about my MB chip (northbridge) on my ABit IS7. I've read that you don't even need the stock hsf that is on the chip for it to run smoothly, so i'm just wondering if my idle temp of 49 and load temp of 60 is acceptable for the chip. Thanks for any advice.

Cooler is always better, but those temps aren't out of line!
I actually have the IS7-G, and presently with the CPU under a full load with Folding@Home and at 39C, the northbridge is at 35C with an aftermarket cooler. My original hsf on the northbridge stopped working!!! |
