Silverstone NT01 V2.0
Anyone have experience with this cooler? It's passive, but accommodates 2 60mm fans. Is it better than the cooler that comes packaged with the Athlon 64 3800 CPU? I have a NT01 cooler, but don't want to mess with my system if it will not make a difference. Currently my CPU is running at about 90F idle & when at extended 100% at about 118F to 122F. I have a media case so I am somewhat limited to using a fairly compact cooler. I think that the NT01 is 109mm high & that is the max for this case. MB is Asus A8N-VM CSM.
Thanks |

That seems to be a pretty good HS. It works very quickly when the proc is at full load. Problem is, with 60mm fans it can be noisy. If you can mount a larger fan in front of it & run it slower it will be quieter.
Hope this helps! |
