stupid light fans...

You know those nifty fans with the dual/tri LED lights? Well I have threee of them, and they ain't so bright no mo'! For whatever reason, all the lights on all 3 of these fans are now out. I didn't see them go out, so I don't know if they all died at the same time. It seems odd, especially since I have ::checks watch:: a good 40,000 hours left on them, but I dunno. Maybe thats just the fans life. The fans still work, so im not going to buy more, but...is it possible that there is a power/voltage problem all of a sudden? Im in the dark on this one.

The LED's shouldn't burn out until long after the computer has been made into scrap. You say they all went out at the same time, but the fans themselves still work. Haven't seen this before, have you checked the wire connections to the LED's?

sounds kinda like a voltage spike, if the fans still work and the lights all died, the fans will just speed up with a little more juice, the lights are a bit more sensitive. may sound stupid, but if you tie a couple of knots in the cords of anything it keeps surges down, on tv, stereo, power cords for your computer, monitor, refrigerator, even the power connectors inside the case of you computer.

I agree you should ensure that you have a steady power supply
