Below is my "new" build (now three months old). So far so good.

On the cooling side, I bought the Noctua because I read on overclocking forums that it cooled just as much or better than liquid systems. It easily shaves off 20 degrees Celsius. But I am neither gaming nor running overly CPU-hungry applications.

The monster heatsink is gorgeous to look at (at least if you enjoy looking at big machines). I didn't know anything about heatsinks before. When you see this thing, the explanations make sense: a huge surface area in order to allow the heat to dissipate in the air, and fans to move the heat off those fins.

ASUS P8P67 Deluxe / unknown case / Intel i7-2600K / Corsair 750HX
16GB Corsair Dominator / Noctua NH-D14 / 128GB Crucial m4 SSD
2TB Seagate Barracuda Green / EVGA nVidia GeForce 9500GT
ASUS DRW-24B3ST 24X / Asus VH242H 23.6" / Logitech X-230
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit OEM edition
