Question Would buying a new powersupply help my cooling?
I recently posted about buying a new heatsink setup for my AMD XP 2600+ "Barton", Due too it running 53 c at full load. I have been looking around the net though, and came across some articles that stated the powersupply that came with my case could be part of the problem. They suggested that since my power supply does not have a fan that draws air from the bottom, near the proccessor, that it can cause heat build up. Do you think it would be worth me buying a new powersupply? Or should I just spend the money on a better heatsink, both? I am open to any input you all can give me.

What's the problem with this temperature? I don't think it's that much and what are the side effects...

the problem i see at least is that i would like to over clock my cpu and i don't think that with my current temp. i have much head room.

Actually, i see that temp as normal for amd, they have historically run hot... To the topic:
1.Getting a better case fan wouldmake much more difference than a new ps
2.New ps probably will make no difference
3.If u want to overclock amd, i would suggest considering some better alernatives to air...

A dual fan power supply can help airflow in the case, but a new heatsink&fan will do much more to lower cpu temps.
