where are you getting the temps from?
I have a monitoring unit for all the computer temps, but I was wondering where is the common place to put the temp sensor wire? The reason I was wondering is a small movement in either direction can give a false reading and I wanted to make sure mine were correct.

I believe under the die is a common placement for the cpu temp sensor

No, that would mess up the heat transfer. Up against the side of the heatspreader, or underneath (between cpu and mobo) if possible would be best

thanks
thanks,
I am going to get a new heatsink/fan setup tonight and I wanted to make sure I was measuring it in the same spot as everyone else so I could see how my temp is in comparison to other peoples.
Thanks again
