Angry Remote 1 - high temperature shown; Fans at 0 RPM! - Speedfan

    Hello,

My parents have an older HP desktop and lately the fan has been going on and off - I remember it only coming on once in a while.

I installed and ran speedfan and here are the numbers:

    GPU:0C
    Ambient: 33C
    Remote 1: 59C
    Remote 2: 31C
    HD0: 31C

    Fan 1: 0 RPM
    Fan 2: 0 RPM

I hear the fan kick when Remote 1 goes above 60. Yet, i'm still seeing 0 for both Fan's.

Speedfan isn't compatible with all motherboards. If you can hear the fan then it obviously isn't spinning at 0 RPM which indicates that speedfan can't read the fan speeds for some reason or another (possible because the motherboard physically lacks the capability to determine their speed).
