AMD misguiding processor speed?
How come my CPU is AMD(Sempron) 2600+ but system properties says it is 1.84GH?
I thought perhaps this +2600 has nothing to do with the processor speed which in this case it would be very misguiding but when checked ebay I noticed that many sellers consider this number as the processor speed. Last edited by amahmood : June 2nd, 2007 at 05:06 PM. |

The 2600+ is what is called the Performance Index, the 1.833 GHz is called Clock Speed
If you do sum research on it your will get a better understanding on it. |
