Cpu Temperature

Hi all, I am Currently running an old AMD Athlon T'Bird 900MHz.

My idle temp is hovering around 50. I havent tried putting the cpu under full load as i dont know how to! . But i think for a processor of 900MHz its running wayyy to hot.

What do you guys think?

Thanks
Chris

Try reattaching the cpu heatsink, using some good thermal paste. If using stock cooling, consider getting a better heat sink, or a bigger fan. Be sure the space around the box is clear so you get good airflow. Add a case fan if you can. And depending on where you are getting this temperature, it may not be very accurate anyway.
