Is it possible to connect a CPU to a Laptop monitor?

Um...what?

Do you mean connect a desktop tower to a laptops screen and use that as the monitor? If so; no. At least from everything I have seen it wont happen. The laptop can connect to an external monitor to run duals; but one cannot do it the other way around.

If you have a good understanding of electronics, a lot of time on your hands, and no longer need the LCD on the laptop it is possible to remove the LCD from the laptop and manually solder a connection from the desktop to the laptop. However, because of the complexity involved and all the possibilities there could be Computer Hope cannot post information about how to do this.

medialint disagrees: The post on November 29th, 2008, 05:59 AM clearly does not seem to indicate the OP intends to modify
their laptop into a stand alone monitor.
