    Unhappy Cpu100%


    CPU often at 100%, winlogon.exe, explorer.exe or cisvc.exe at 99%.
    I have Norton antivirus, regulary updated, tryed stinger exe, Xsoft Spy, still the same. Sometimes work ok.

    Have seen event log corrupt cause similiar thing, can you view all the even logs? If not then there are articles on web for blowing away event logs and let windows rebuild.

    Could try clearing out all the event logs regardless.

    Secondly I seen a CPQ Deskpro running WinXP do similiar thing and we disabled everything before finally swapping out ram which fixed it. Was like Windows XP was constantly repeating processes till successful as opposed to popping up blue screen on first failed attempt.

    Also, have you noticed any sort of pattern, like OK till use IE?
