    Question Overclocking Capabilities of System

    Hi all,
i've got an older system which is as follows:

    Abit NF7 v2 mobo
    AMD 2600+ 333mhz T-Bred Core@2.08ghz
    512Mb Crucial 400Mhz DDR PC3200
160GB Seagate Cheetah SATA HD (on PCI-SATAController Card)
    G-Force 4 5200 128mb AGPx8 (crap card, not a gamer!)
    Windows XP Pro SP2
    N-Force2 Chipset

I have a standard cooler, which i'm presuming will require an upgrade, does anybody have any recommendations on what to buy? Think idle temp is about 40c atm.

I'm an IT Tech but have never gone into overclocking, just wondering if any has any first steps/Capability ideas of what my system can do overclocking wise? Thanks in advance...

Sorry for the necro but wanted to add something.

SP97 heatsink is about the best you can get for your setup. You can add to that a fan to suit your needs depending on stealth, air movement or a balance of both.

The deltas kick out a lot of cfm but are really noisy, but these days there are loads of Stealth 92mm fans you can get.
