Should I get this P.C?

Hi guys. I have a pretty old comp so I decided to upgrade it. anyway, I have Geforce 8600gt 512mb and I want to get a new motherboard, cpu and ddr. I'm thinking about buying
Intel/ Core2 Duo/ E8400 3.0GHz, 6M, 1333MHz, S775, Box
or
Intel/ Core i5/ 750 2.66GHz, 8MB, Box, LGA1156
Which one should I get? or would you advise something better?

The core i5 is superior in both performance and power consumption, but I'm sure slegolas has already made a decision sometime in the last 8 months!

I think core i7 is much better than i5.
It's little bit expensive but it's best.
