Thumbs down Asus CPU Fan No power

i just finished putting together a new computer and it can power on and boot into an OS when installed. After a while i started noticing that the CPU fan was not running at all. The temperature is rising and i cant make the fan come on. A friend told me that you can clip a wire that tells the motherboard weather to turn on your CPU fan or not. I was wondering if this is true if so what wire should i cut.

    Thanks,

Make sure the fan is plugged in correctly to the fan lead on the mobo. You also could try a converter to make it run from a molex connector. If neither works, the fan is probably dead, get a different one.

Sounds like the fan is the problem then.
