    AMD 3000+ barton max FSB?


    hey, i was wanting to try and overclock my AMD 3000+ Barton (Mobo = M7NCD) ive looked on other threads with overclocking a amd cpu but with a different speed cpu (im kinda lost) can anyone help me?

    depends on the chip and the mobo. Each chip is different so what someone gets, you might be able to get. The mobo might also be a limiting factor, over a FSB of 200, some motherboards become unstable. Each mobo has different limits, so wither one or the other will end your OC. Take it as far as you can.

    so basically, all i need to c hange is the FSB of the CPU in the bios to overclock it?

    yes. The FSB * Multiplier = clock speed.
