    what kind of increased stable performace i can get outta my CPU


    Hello all, i am new to the over clocking, i dont want to over clock just yet, but i would like to know what kind of increased stable performace i can get outta my CPU

    system specs :
    GA-7VT600-L latest rev level F15 400MHZ FSB
    AMD 2600 CPU 400 MHZ with / AMD heatsink and fan
    Nvida gforce mmx440 AGP 8x / 64 megs
    1 gig ultra DDR 3700 RAM
    1 120 gig maxtor HD
    1 20 gig maxtor HD
    2 fans plus one on the CPU
    BIOS is at default now, i was not able to get into the CTRL F1 BIOS setting, System is now running at default setting
    1919MHZ as
    i have attached my EZ tune 4 setting as they are now
    also i dont quite understand the Vcore setting for CPU, VIDEO , AND MEMORY .... i have seen where ppl have increase the AMD 2600 (1919MHZ) to 2100MHZ ..

    Each cpu is different, can't tell what yours can do. If you have the stock cpu fan, get an upgrade (I like Zalman) before trying to OC. There are numerous how to's on the net, read several before you start to avoid problems.

    There is a lot of stuff on the net about overclocking. I also agree leave it alone until you get a better Fan/Heatsink. Most people who overclock use watercooling.
